ITA'S EAGLE TO ADVISE AVALARA

Ron Eagle, AvalaraRon Eagle, who just concluded 15 years as president of the Information Technology Alliance, will serve as a strategic advisor to Avalara. He will function within Avalara’s Accounting & Advisory Services Program. The company said adding the role coincides with its international expansion. Eagle has led ITA since it evolved from the former Acute, which had been a user group of accountants that used IBM products.
ITA's membership includes CPAs and software resellers and consultants. Avalara provides Internet-based sales and use tax products. In its announcement, the company did not spell out its international plans. During his career, Eagle was SVP and chief integration officer for Centerprise, a rollup that became UHY Advisors. He was with that operation from January 1999 through December 2003. He was with the former Geo. S. Olive & Co. from 1990 through 1998 where he was partner in charge of its MCS division, which offered consulting and reselling services.
