Companies spending that kind of money want to know where their suppliers are going and NetSuite is obliging them. I discussed with some NetSuite execs last year the fact that it has introd its big products—now it is a more mature company and will be acting differently There were more immediate topics—the new interface coming in June, the B2B Customer Care center for SuiteCommerce, TribeHR Mobile for iOS, the new NetSuite Services Resources Planning Software Suite, and CEO Zach Nelson's custom of leaving no competitor unbashed. There was also SuiteGL, detailed by CTO and founder Evan Goldberg. SuiteGL provides the ability to customize general ledger processes. Despite Goldberg's enthusiasm, a couple Sage VARs around me said Sage had most of those functions for years, including customizing account number segments. Whatever the case, SuiteGL enables users to customize GL lines, transaction types and GL segments.

An important thing about NetSuite's product announcements was not what was said, but when it was said. "I was surprised they talked about things so far in the future," said one attendee, referring to the announcement of the 2015 version of the cloud product. "As they deal with increasingly large companies, they have to do that," I replied. And he agreed. NetSuite's average selling pricing has continued to climb—up 50 percent over the prior year as noted in the webcast of the March quarter earnings announcements.
