Intacct has struck a deal with American Express that portends a much broader relationship in the payments arena. Payment service via Intacct's cloud-based accounting software starts with the Intacct Check Delivery. Business can send check payments to suppliers and GL automatically updates, as they always say, with the click of a button. Amex will write and mail the paper checks. But it is the promised additional "card- and non-card payment solutions" that the partners said are coming soon that interested attendees at this week's Intacct Advantage conference.
"We haven't stopped; we have just started," Intacct CEO Robert Reid said during the introduction. "We need to sit down and figure out what is next." On the check side, the check service is $1.50 per check handled. Company founder and CTO Aaron Harris said eliminating the need for check stock on premises can reduce risk.
