I wonder if the use of the term leader—and CEO Noel Goggin is also culture leader—is emblematic of a kinder, gentler management than having a bunch of VPs. Before joining Aptos, Kalil was partner and managing director of The Boston Consulting Group from January 2014 through December 2015. He was with Infosys from August 2014 through January 2014 and was global head of management consulting services for his last three years 10 months there. Aptos also named Kevin Parker, former CEO of Blackbaud, as chair of its board of directors.

Aptos, the former Epicor Retail Solutions, has hired John Kalil as chief growth officer. Kalil is one of several recent additions to management for Aptos, which spun out of Epicor in June. In November the company also hired the following: legal leader David Baum; finance leader, Mark Bentler; marketing leader Nicole Crowe; customer success leader, Bill Joyce; strategy leader Ian Rawlins; people leader, Steve Stanislaus' and technology leader, Mike Verdeyen.
