I did not previously realize that Open Systems had an executive director of marketing, Mike Goracke, who took that position in October after spending the previous 11 months as head of digital strategy for the software company. SSI carries Dynamics GP and SL, along with cloud products Intacct and Unanet, the latter a cloud-based project accounting package that popped up for the first time this year on submissions for Bob Scott's Top 1010 VARs. It's a company I have a feeling we are going to be hearing a lot more about.
OPEN SYSTEMS' ALARCON JOINS SSI Featured
Carla Alarcon, long-time marketing director at Open Systems, has taken a position to run marketing programs for SSI Consulting. Alarcon moved to the Vienna, Va.-based software reseller this month after spending 13 years with the Shakopee, Minn.-based publisher of Open Systems Accounting Software and Traverse. SSI is led by Bill Aiton, who has been president of the organization since January 2005.
