Certainly, the deals demonstrate Exact's plans to invest in emerging technologies such as blockchain and machine learning. Early in the month, the Netherlands based publisher acquired Dièse Finance, which makes online tax management software, for businesses and accountants in France. Users will be able to file taxes directly from Exact's cloud accounting product, Exact Online. Since that application is sold in the United States, it would be logical to conjecture Exact could connect Exact Online and tax software here. This week, Exact picked up the Dutch cloud accounting software company Reeleezee, which will be managed as a private label and developed separately from existing Exact products. However, technical teams from both companies will collaborate on machine learning, blockchain and Standard Business Reporting, among other areas. Exact will also offer Cashr, a cash register package from Reeleezee, to its customers. Terms were not disclosed for either deal.
