JAAS has provided manufacturing as a third-party product for several years. CEO Jon Roskill said Acumatica decided to release a manufacturing application because "We are getting into bigger accounts and we also want a single interface." There are already 50 customers on Acumatica Manufacturing, whose modules include BOM and Routing Management, Production Management, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning). Estimating, Product Configurator, and APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) are option modules. R2 also features a new user interface, whose dashboards can be personalized with the ability to create roles-based views. Roskill also highlighted enhancements to Project Accounting. "There is a big need for somebody to do a more robust version of project accounting in the cloud," he said. Those enhancements include simplified budget structure and reporting. Acumatica also added Proforma invoices and Project-Specific Invoice Formats, along with progress billing on fixed amount and time and material contracts. The company has provided integration with Adobe Sign, which enables Acumatica users to securely sign and manage documents across devices from within Acumatica Cloud ERP. There is also integration with Smartsheet, a project management tool used for visual resource scheduling.
