There were other complaints as Sage One, Live and X3, elements of Sage Business Cloud became Sage Accounting, Financials and Enterprise Management. Loudest among those were claims Sage gave little advance notice. McMurtie denies that. "This started with a whole series of channel calls with all of our partners back in September," he says. One reseller who is satisfied with how the naming change was handled is Exton, Pa.-based Jim Campbell, an owner and VP of Sage VAR ADSS Global. "I like what they are doing since, a lot of what we do in Sage 100 and Sage 300 is already cloud based," he says. He notes that does not mean these are SaaS products but clients can access information via Internet servers or via hosting companies. Campbell adds ADSS offers hosting. Although the SBC products are currently unrelated, Sage is working to develop the APIs that will enable them to connect and the market place to enable developers to do the same. One critic says, " I am looking forward to seeing the Ads that spin "Sage 100 Cloud (Not a Cloud Product)". This person also says he first heard about the name changes on January 22 and was told to change marketing materials by January 31. The deadline has been moved to March and McMurtie says there is not deadline with a penalty.
