Sage decided on regional Sage Sessions for 2018. While large shows have their sins, they do give management a chance to provide focus on the company—both for the channel, customers and the company to see where they stand. It’s also a chance for the outside world to notice—a group of regional meetings just does not convey the sense of important events. Even looser talk was “rumblings of Seattle and Florida”. The cheerleading aspect of conferences should not be ignored—they are a time for companies and all the stakeholders to feel good about what they are doing. Sage could certainly use that with CEO Steve Kelly having been dumped one month before fiscal 2018 closed. This could all be wishful thinking or maybe Sage has put out feelers to sample sentiment.
