“This is no longer a debate. The only thing we’re debating is the speed of getting this done,” Hurd said. He added predictions that 100 percent of cloud applications will include artificial intelligence; 85 percent of customer interactions will be automated; and 60 percent IT jobs have not been invented, but will be, all in the next seven years. He envisions new job roles such as supervisors for robots, smart city technology designers, AI-assisted healthcare technicians, and data professionals. He also predicts blockchain will be a feature of virtually all applications, helping enable the exchange of secure information.
