Sage has formed a Technology Advisory Group that draws members from inside the highest levels of the company and from outside experts. The official statement from the Sage Group says the committee will meet four times a year and act as a sounding board for the company and provide independent thinking on technology issues. This includes keeping "keeping abreast of developments in the wider technology sector."
From the company, the members are Chief Executive Guy Berruyer; chief technology officer, Klaus Michael Vogelberg; and chief marketing officer, Amanda Jobbins. There are three members from outside Sage: Rajat Taneja, EVP and CTO of game company Electronic Arts, and previously CVP for Microsoft’s e-commerce, online services and SMB offering, who will be the chair; Alex Gounares, CEO of Concurix Corporation, and previously the CTO of AOL and Microsoft’s Online Services Division; and Pierre Samec, EVP and CTO of The TriZetto Group and previously EVP and CTO of Expedia. That heavy Microsoft background should come as no surprise given Sage's commitment to the Azure platform and that all its products run on the Microsoft platform anyway.
