Exact Online starts at $299 per month for the first company and user. That's $3,600 a year (minus 12 bucks), to start. Additional users or companies are $29 per month each. Exact has not made it a secret that it has positioned the product above Xero. But this pricing puts it higher than, well at least I had expected. By contrast, the new Paychex product is $27 per month and Xero's three pricing levels range from $17 per month to $39 per month. Looking at the positioning, Exact is playing more in the Sage 50 (Peachtree) level. Sage has always said that product fits better with slightly larger companies that may have some accounting knowledge.
