Growth benefited from the strong performance of Hana, its in-memory database technology. Hana software revenue was about $908 million, an increase of 69 percent at constant currencies. Operating profit for the year was about $6.1 billion while revenue reached roughly $23 billion. Software and software-related services rose to about $19 billion, up 6 percent. On both an IFRS and non-IFRS basis, software revenue actually dropped by 3 percent at constant currencies. SAP, of course, will be talking about non-IFRS results that way its American rival, NetSuite, trumpets non-GAAP results. On that basis, operating profit was up 13 percent and revenue 8 percent. The drop in software came as revenue from cloud subscriptions and support rose – a result that should surprise no one. Revenue for that category the most recently ended year was about $954 million, a rise of 158 percent from 2012 on an IFRS basis, up 130 percent on a non-IFRS basis.
