So Hagemann-Snabe and co-CEO Bill McDermott, the American who becomes the sole occupant of that chair when his partner takes the new role in May, spent time praising Brandt and each other for the high quality of their leadership over their nearly four years together. And if they didn't quite call each other BFFs, they weren't too far from it. Hagemann-Snabe's move has more serious overtones as he replaces Josef Ackermann as deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Siemens. And Ackerman left because he was named in the suicide note of Zurich Insurance CFO Pierre Wauthier last year where Ackermann was chairman. Hagemann-Snabe finished his presentation turning the spotlight over to "my good friend and partner Bill McDermott". McDermott described Brandt with "What a great CFO and what a good friend." And he thanked his co-CEO with "I would like to thank him as a friend. We have been amazing friends." Perhaps as important is that McDermott will move to Heidelberg, Germany, in his solo role. And of course, he promised, "You can count on me to be a great friend of Germany." And for all the kidding aside, it was nice to hear
