Heading the effort is Art Brault, who joined the North American operations as director of partner alliances in October. Brault was with Deltek from December 2005 through April 2012 where he was director of sales and later director of sales, channel sales and alliances. The now privately held company said it had 70 percent growth in SaaS software bookings in2014 with SaaS sales now exceeding license sales. "Unit4 plans to enlarge its ecosystem by launching a global partner program offering new business opportunities for partners to extend the company's sales and delivery capabilities offering customers added value and choice." The components of that program were not outlined. Unit4's channel program varies by country. For example, in the United Kingdom it has infrastructure providers, OEM partners, resellers, solution providers, system implementers and system integrators. Other plans include expanding R&D centers to accelerate getting new products or new features to market. Overall, the company said plans entail a buildup of R&D, professional services and customer support in Spain, Portugal and Poland.
