The purchase gives RKL its first California offices, but it had acquired an office in Scottsdale, Ariz., when it purchased the Sage 500 practice from Sage VAR ISM in October 2013. It's a little more complicated than that. Accuvar had functioned as Clients First Business Solutions California. RKL emphasized it purchased Accuvar's assets, not any of those of Clients First. With the change, Clients First "is now looking to expand into the California and the West Coast," said that organization's president Tom Falteich. Accuvar was founded in 1993 by Joanne Wasak and business partner, Tim Palin. Accuvar's website as CFBS California shows that it carries only Sage products. It had also sold Dynamics AX, but Clients First is retaining those customers.

RKL eSolutions has acquired Sage reseller Accuvar. Lancaster, Pa.-based RKL picked up the latter's San Francisco Bay area and Sacramento offices, along with 12 employees and more than 170 customers. It also left Clients First Business Solutions without a California office. RKL president Joe Noll said that besides expanding the company's geographic presence it provides his firm's customers the area with access to its personnel more quickly.
