The September events included improvements to bank reconciliation, an API beta and the release of the Accounts Hosted Application Programming Interface. Payment integration, enhanced time and expenses and an API release were scheduled for this month. On the November calendar is a payroll beta and a new partner portal beta. In December and January, the company plans to release payroll and the new partner portal. Reckon has exhibited Virtual Cabinet at conferences here but has not volunteered much publicly about the product and its plans in the U.S.

Australian software vendor Reckon has spelled out the development path for Reckon One, its cloud-based accounting package. Although Reckon accounting software is not sold in the United States, it is moving Reckon One into the United Kingdom and does sell its Virtual Cabinet document management system in this country. So it's always worth a look. The development map was spelled out recently at its partner and customer conference in Melbourne Australia.
