One session at referred to Sage 100c Manufacturing as the new Sage 100c manufacturing mobile, but that was revised to call the product an add on. It has people wondering if Sage and JobOps did a mating dance, but did not consummate an outright acquisition. As outlined in a conference call this week by Mike Ritchie, VP of product development, Sage is selling the core JobOps module, which includes estimating, sales orders and work tickets, costing and tracking, and purchasing and also the Time Tracker. Sage will separately sell the Product Configurator and Enhanced Scheduling. Synergistic is selling Field Service Dispatch and Purchase Agent. For years, JobOps was sold by Synergistic Software, which was a unit of accounting firm BDO Seidman. In March 2014, BDO sold the subsidiary to private equity investor, Anania & Associates Investment Co. Accounting firm RKL eSolutions and reseller Baesis then took equity positions in the operation, with RKL buying Baesis in January.
