Couchbase develops and markets database software based on the NoSQL database technology. The company says NoSQL, utilized in its Couchbase Server, better supports the large number of customers and big data required in the Internet world than does traditional relational database technology. Adaptive produces cloud-based software in the areas of budgeting forecasting and reporting, planning, forecasting and consolidation.

Laura Duda, director of global channel marketing for Adaptive Insights, has moved to a senior marketing position with Couchbase. Duda was in the Adaptive position from April 2014 through February this month. She has become senior director of worldwide partner marketing and development for Mountain View, Calif.-based Couchbase.
