He noted last month the European Commission okayed Italy’s move to become the first European Union company to mandate e-invoicing and he expects rapid expansion of real-time, transaction-level reporting in Europe. TrustWeaver has operated in all of Latin America, Europe (including Russia), China, India, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey, Australia and South Africa. It does not operate in the United States, much of Africa and parts of the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Sovos has acquired TrustWeaver, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company, which provides global e-invoicing. Terms were not disclosed. In a web post, CEO Andy Hovancik says the acquired software handles both post-audit and clearance models in 60 countries.
