James' tenure with the various forms of the Sage organization go back more than 10 years. The retooling was announced by Krista Endsley, SVP and general manager of the nonprofit area. "We have heard your feedback and after careful analysis, we are redoubling our efforts to nurture our Partner relationships and strengthen our mutual confidence for greater success," she wrote to the channel. Changes, not spelled out in detail, include "increased data sharing, closer business analysis and improved partner marketing programs and lead generation efforts" The sales department has also been restructured although who got restructured and how was not discussed. The NFP line was declared noncore this year. That seemed surprising because this product line is one with the most involvement with accounting firms, which is one of Sage's targets. However, someone explained that Sage has let the product line age, instead of putting money into it. Still, when the announcement was made Sage seemed to set NFP apart from other noncore areas as a bit more important.
