Given the drop in revenue reported for Macola, any growth would be an improvement. Meanwhile, the company has, as promised earlier this year, chucked its Engage user conference, open to users of all Exact products, in favor of one named Nexus that will focus on Macola and Globe customers in North America. That will be held in Dallas September 9 through 12. Emmons was reported to be transitioning to a new role, but his LinkedIn page still shows him general manager for Exact's Macola, Globe and Synergy practices in the Americas. Forsythe was briefly managing director for Smart Technologies in the Americas. Before that, she was VP of channel sales for CA Technologies from 2004 through 2011. Macola could benefit from someone with that kind of experience. Although the Exact America website has a section for new resellers, it doesn't look like the number has changed over the last two years for the 32 reported VARs. I'm curious about Exact's choice of the word "Nexus" because of its strong association with taxation. Hmm.
