On September 25, Duffy will join Leverage Technologies, an Australian reseller of SAP Business One and Sage X3, as GM of the newly-established Cloud Solutions group to launch and run an MYOB Advanced practice. MYOB Advanced is based on Acumatica. MYOB invested in Acumatica in the summer of 2014. Actually, instead of saying MYOB Advanced in built on Acumatica, the press release says "MYOB Advanced is the name Acumatica goes to market in that region ..." Duffy worked as SAP from March 2003 through March 2014. His resume gives overlapping titles, including duct tape marketing consultant for the entire time. From August 2003 through March 2014, he was SAP Business One Evangelist, Business One Sales and Marketing Programs Manager globally, SAP Mentor in Sydney, Australia small enterprise solution and enablement manager for SAP Asia/Pacific.
ACUMATICA REPLACING DUFFY WITH JANI Featured
Channel head Richard Duffy is leaving his position at Acumatica to return to Australia. Acumatica cited family reasons for Duffy's decision to leave the cloud software company, which he joined in April 2014 as VP of partner strategy and enablement, and product evangelist. He is being replaced by Ali Jani, who has served as VP product management and services since 2010. Jani's new title is VP of partner strategy, enablement and services, effective immediately.
