MICROSOFT’S ELOP BET HOUSE … AND WON

Steve Elop, who jilted Microsoft to take a job as CEO of Nokia, did very well for himself in the two years he headed the Microsoft Business Division, the group that has oversight for Microsoft Business Solutions. He took in just under $21 million in total compensation, even if he did have to return $667,000 of his signing bonus because he didn't stay three years. He received the most compensation of any company officer in 2009 and 2010.
