SAP has introduced the SAP Product Content Hub. The software company said this week the hub is cloud-based system that provides “master product data for customer-facing systems”.

That includes the SAP Commerce Cloud and tight integration with the back office. SAP pitches the hub as offering a user interface that will enable those without expertise “to create and manage consistent, high-quality product data across more than 1,500 digital marketplace, marketing and social channels including Amazon.com, eBay and Google.” The Hub enables product onboarding by automatically monitoring and implementing changes across channels while featuring embedded AI-driven product information extraction and image recognition. SAP notes that product information management systems like the hub offer integrations with different data sources, product data management, collaboration between business users using workflows, assortments and hierarchies management, bulk editing and data quality and validation. The Hub also enables usersto model data and hierarchies dynamically during runtime while syndication capabilities mean publishingto more those numerous channels  creates “a consistent Omni-channel experience across all your touch points".
