Microsoft is readying the market for a major update for its Dynamics 365 line and Power Platform.  Preview environments are available for Dynamics 365 Business Central that enables users to try out new functionality and the release plan for the broad 365 line has also been posted.

The update is scheduled for April with the outline of features for Dynamics 365 2020 release wave 1 outlined for features releasing from April through September. The site also shows which features have been released for public preview or when they will be released this year. It provides descriptions for a wide range of features for many modules. Within Dynamics 365 Finance and operations, Dynamics 365 Finance focuses on automation, predictive analytics, and core capabilities. Among these are Customer Payment Predictions, which will will use machine learning to predict when an invoice or sales order will be paid, a Forecast bank balance feature, and Intelligent budget proposal. Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management also has a wide range of changes including integration with Project module changes relate to project type, Compare item price storage, which provides and IoT intelligence core insights, which can provide notification on delayed orders, equipment down and product anomalies. There is also list of new features and enhancements for 365 Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, , Human Resources and Commerce,
