ROOTSTOCK ADDS COSTING, INVENTORY FEATURES Featured

Rootstock Software has launched advanced costing and inventory management capabilities and high-volume manufacturers and distributor. Introduced this week, the company’s spring release includes Freight and Landed Cost, Inventory License Plating and an Online Learning Center.

Freight and Landed costs, which typically include freight, import duties, custom duties, taxes and tariffs, can be apportioned to inventory by such methods as by weight, quantity, value, purchase order line count or as an additional percentage.  Company’s using the standard costing method can insure costs of obtaining the item are incorporated. The other new feature, Inventory License Plating, identifies the collection of inventory items as one unit.  Items such as a container, pallet, case, master carton, box, tote, barrel, ocean shipping container or a “virtual” collection of items, move as a unit and are assigned unique license plate numbers o for identification. The Online Learning Center  was designed to help companies implement  Rootstock Could ERP with a curriculum designed for a wide range of users. Participants can access self-paced and instructor-led courses, along informal learning hours where participants can converse with product experts and other users.
