It locates and calcualtes taxes affecting the industry. The new product is part of a suite of Avalara for Beverage Alcohol products. Avalara noted the industry has transformed as sales move from on-premise to off-premise as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and with the move to ecommerce sales where states have allowed it, which has the changed compliance risks  The product lineup includes three applications, Avalara Licensing, Product Registration and Returns for Beverage Alcohol. The Licensing software tracks registration with the federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, state departments of revenue and Alcohol Beverage Control departments. Product Registration enables businesses to outsource interaction with regulatory entities at all levels of government. Returns manages the end-to-end returns process.
