Microsoft has embedded Teams, its online communication system, in a variety of Dynamics 365 applications. This includes Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Field Service, Marketing. Remote Assist and Sales.

The product news was made at the Microsoft Ignite conference. For example, users can chat in Teams without leaving Dynamics. 365 Sales. The company said that the capability enables users to make “Teams calls right from within the sellers’ workflows, inside their CRM, with conversational KPIs and advanced business insights surfaced on top of those calls.” Similarly, users of Dynamics 365 Marketing can “export attendee data and view customer segments created in Dynamics 365 Marketing based on audience attendance.”  Customers can setup, promote and report events on Teams from within Dynamics 365 Marketing. Microsoft also said end users can find their technician and rate visits from within Dynamics 365. Field. Service  and is also previewing self-service scheduling on April 1. That capability will be available later this year. Microsoft also announced Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management which “enables companies to intelligently orchestrate fulfillment and automate it with a user-friendly, easily configurable rule-based system using real time omnichannel inventory data, AI and machine learning.” The product will be available for preview in April.
