The company says the new module, which creates AP bills from scanned PDF documents, is the first one built specifically for the browser-based AccuFund Anywhere line. AccFund says the system involves four steps which are

Step 1 : Receiving Invoices;  Step 2 : Selecting Invoices;  Step 3 : Processing Invoices; and
Step 4 : Posting Invoices,, Ready to Pay. The optical character recognition system utilizes artificial intelligence tools to learns from the documents submitted by nonprofits and governments. The system can verify and learn to identify the properties and attributes of fields on specific invoice formats. AccuFund said Smart Capture is unlike competing systems because the full audit trail process happens within AccuFund, instead of having to move between systems.
