SAGE PLANS ACCOUNTING INBOX Featured

Sage is planning an accounting inbox that will be described to its channel at a conference next week. The broad outline of the plan was given by CEO Steve Hare in this week’s webcast of earnings for the first half ended March 31.

Hare said it would utilize natural language provided by GPT 4 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer). “It’s a product which will help all of our customers, in dealing with routine workflows,” Hare said in answer to an analyst question.  It’s not clear if anything about this topic will be announced at next week’s Sage Partner Summit, which is not open to the press and as generally press releases have not been issued from the partner conferences. Plus, it’s been difficult to get on and stay on the Sage press release list over the last few years. For example, it’s been a few years since Sage has sent press releases my way about construction software, including the recent purchase of Corecon which I had to grab off the website. Every once and a while Sage send press releases about its financial results—the first half numbers were not part of the once and a while.
