NET AT WORK ADDS DIGITAL OPS PLATFORM Featured

Net at Work has launched a Digital Operations Platform for industrial and equipment manufacturers. The term DOP, coined by Forrester Research, refers to an integrated set of applications built around ERP.

But the applications are not all from the same software company.  “We are not solving for the publisher,” says Net at Work founder and co-president, Alexander Solomon. "We tie them all together end to end—focus on problems end to end and not on technology. It this case, the system ties together Sage X-3, the company’s process manufacturing package, and Rippling for HR functions and Creatio for CRM, both recently signed. Solomon says there is an element of “best of breed” in the DOP format. Solomon believes the platforms will become a standard way of selling the in the mid-market, but he feels smaller VARs lack the resources to develop the integrations necessary to assemble all elements. Net at Work’s announcement notes that different applications may be integrated in DOPs with the result that they will be unique for each customer. He also says that in some cases, vendors write the integrations; in other cases that work is performed by Net at Work.  In the case of Power Curbers Companies, the DOP was built around X3 and Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service. Solomon notes that for the elements will vary for different verticals.
