EVP SPRING GONE FROM SAGE Featured

Rich Spring, Sage Earlier this month, I just missed Rich Spring, Sage North America's EVP and chief revenue officer, who was talking to someone at the Information Technology Alliance conference. He darted away before I could talk to him. No need now as the Spring era has ended. Spring, who joined the company in April, has left with Sage thanking him for his time. CFO Marc Scheipe, who is serving as interim president of Sage North America, will take over his duties until a replacement is found.

Scheipe said Paige Erickson, who joined as VP of strategy an programs in October, is still on board. Generally, reseller reaction to Spring was very positive. But as an article on this website said early today, changes in Sage management were likely to continue. The same notice that announced Spring's departure said Laura Biasucci has joined as VP of sales and will report to Connie Certusi. Biasucci has had a career with a lot of experience at hardware companies. She was regional sales director for Dell from March 2010 through March 2013 and a VP in U.S. solution sales for HP from April 2013 through December 2015. Earlier, she spent 20 years in sales and sales management from 1983 through 2003. Safe to say, Sage is having trouble hanging on to talent. After being put in charge of one of the company's high-profile products in February, Sage Live, Doug Labahn bolted for Xero in December while long-time employee, Himanshu Palsule, chief technology officer, migrated to Epicor Software in November. Certainly some of these moves give the appearance of voluntary departures.
