Knott was previously director of SAP’s analytics business for Africa from June 2012 through April 2016. The company described his hiring as aimed at continuing the growth of the IFS “reseller and partner ecosystem.” IFS CEO Darren Roos said more than 50 percent of license revenue which represents a opportunity for its channel. The IFS channel is comprised mainly by large systems integrators, OEMs and consulting-only organizations. Accounting members are BDO IT consulting and Deloitte while Oracle is among the OEMs.

IFS has hired Merlin Knott as global head of channels. He was previously SVP of sales for SAP in Europe for that company’s Leonardo and Analytics lines. IFS is owned by EQT Partners, which recently acquired Acumatica.
