FinancialForce pulled the covers off its VAR program this week. The company had been talking about a channel for at least two years and signaled its seriousness by hiring former Dynamics channel head, Jeff Edwards as VP of global channels in October 2018.

In a prepared statement, Edwards said its resellers will “extend both  our geographic reach and our vertical depth …” The cloud software company says the addition is in line with its use of Systems Integrators, which account for 50 percent of its implementations. FinancialForce introduced a referral program earlier this year and reports it has 20 members globally. It initially launched the VAR effort in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Australia and reported that firms already signed include Agilyx, Cloudteam, ION and Xenogenix. The launch coincided with the FinancialForce EMEA Partner Summit. The company has also added a new partner section on its website, which enables organizations to apply to become ISVs, resellers, referrers or SIs. The initial signings were within the FForce family. Australia-based Agilyx, which has offices on all continents, except Antarctica, was already carrying Unit4 Business World. Unit4 had owned a minority share in FForce with SalesForce owning a majority stake. Operating in the Netherlands and London, England, Cloudteam is a FForce implementation partner. ION, based in the United Kingdom, was already in the SalesForce channel, while Xenogenix, another U.K. organization, had been a Salesforce implementer.
