DYNAMICS STAYS ON DOUBLE-DIGIT PATH Featured

Microsoft reported last week Dynamics revenue rose by 14-percent year-over-year for the first quarter ended September 30. The path is one the product line has been following over the last two years with most of the increase coming from Dynamics 365, which showed a 41-percen jump from last year’s corresponding quarter.

Following its usual practice, Microsoft did not provide any revenue figures for Dynamics. Commercial cloud revenue, which includes Dynamics 365, was $11.6 billion for the most recently ended period up 36.4 percent from $8.5 billion, a year ago. That segment includes the commercial portion of Linkedin, Office 365 and Azure. Net income for the quarter was $10.68 billion, up 21 percent from $8.83 billion in last year’s first quarter. Total revenue was $33.1 billion, a rise of 13.6 percent from $29.1 billion a year earlier.
