Under the program, firms that wish to maintain their independence will provide services for Acumatica software but will not resell the applications. In an interview in November, Geoff Ashley said that there will be “two more firms right behind” the announcement of BDO. The announcement this week said, “as a service partner BDO will help clients identify and evaluate the right business management solutions and provide end-to-end support for particularly complex or international implementations, including systems, processes and people integration.” In this year’s special report, Bob Scott’s VAR Stars 2019, Ashley described the role of service partners this way: “They will work on the selection process; the business process re-engineering,  even doing the project management.”
