CONFERENCES FOR 2020? Featured

Some conferences that were scheduled for earlier this year have been postponed.  But does anyone think conferences set for the second half of 2020 are likely to be held in person? Or if they are, will attendance be anything but down considerable.

“How soon will you feel safe getting on an airplane?” Taylor Macdonald, VP of channels for Sage Intacct said recently, which probably sums up the attitude of many people. And after all, what's conference like other than being packed shoulder-to-shoulder in a hall waiting for the keynote to start? Nominally, NetSuite’s SuiteWorld was moved to August while Sage Summit was pushed to December. Avalara’s Crush was delayed until October 28 through October 30 in St. Louis.  Deltek Insight, originally set for November 16 through November 19 in Aurora, Colo., has already gone virtual. Acumatica says its annual analyst’s conference in September will go ahead, but perhaps as a virtual event. Theoretically on the normal fall agenda for Infor’s Inforum for September 14 through September 16 in Las Vegas. The web page for Sage Intacct Advantage 2020 says the company is monitoring events but still planning on the conference for October 12 through October 16 in Orlando, Fla.
