Columbus is evaluating what to do with its software business. CEO Thomas Honoré noted during this week’s webcast for earnings for the first half ended June 30. “

We are considering our options,” Honoré said, noting, “We are primarily a services business. He said the investments requirement to compete in software has increased. Options include intensifying the business or finding a partner that might want to take over part of the operations. The first-half totals suggest the story line. Columbus software license revenue fell 42.8 percent to approximately $408,000. Columbus subscription revenue dropped to roughly $2.2 million, off 7.2 percent from the first half of 2019.
