The deal brings to an end a troubled period for Denmark-based Columbus, which had seen that business steadily shrink by about 51 percent over five years. The sale will chop about $23.4 million in revenue off the company’s 2021 revenue. "This acquisition is a key milestone in our journey to attain the goals of our Vision 2024 - being the worldwide leader in the Microsoft Dynamics SMB space," Enavate CEO Thomas Ajspur said in a prepared statement. Columbus will keep its Enterprise Business Unit, which sells Dynamics 365. Enavate, which said the deal includes more than 50 employees and 1,400 clients, had recently submitted information for Bob Scott’s VAR Stars for 2021 which showed revenue of $63.4 million and a staff of 400. Columbus’ financial report for the first half ended June 30 said there were 157 employees in the U.S. In the last 16 months, Columbus changed CEOs and sold its To-Increase development business for about $138 million and its custom cloud business, for which terms were not disclosed. Columbus built the business in this county by the former Interdyn BMI in 2015 and the former Tridea Partners in 2017. Tridea was reported to have 29 employees when acquired. For Bob Scott’s Top 100 VARs for 2015, BMI said it had $30 million in revenue and 160 employees. That was in addition to the business Columbus had built over prior years in the U.S.
