QUISITIVE PAYING $51.5M FOR CATAPULT Featured

Dynamics reseller Quisitive Technology Solutions has reached an agreement to pay $51.51 million in cash for Austin, Texas-based Catapult Systems. Toronto, Ont.-based Quisitive says the deal brings its annual run-rate to more than $160 million.

For the trailing 12 months, Catapult, which provides a wide variety of Microsoft services and products, had revenue of about $25.2 million. The deal diversifies Quisitive’s recurring revenue with the addition of Spyglass, an accelerator for managing security in a Microsoft environment, and Azure Management Services for continuous optimization and management of Azure for infrastructure, data and applications, which includes a proprietary monitoring and altering tool with IP. It also establishes a Security practice for the purchaser. Quisitive also provided guidance that revenue for the third quarter ended September 30 will range between $26.25 million and $27.65 million, more than double the $12.7 million a year ago. It has been a big year for deals by Quisitive. In March, it acquired healthcare firm, Mazik Global, whose products are based on Dynamics, for about $15 million and then followed with the roughly $166 million acquisition of  BankCard USA Merchant Services to grow its payments business. It grew its reselling business in 2020 with the June purchase of the former Corporate Renaissance Group and has followed that up with the acquisition of Menlo Technologies, which purchased the former SSI Consulting in 2018.
