 Springbrook Software has acquired Publiq Software in a deal that brings together to companies that serve local governments and agencies. Terms were not disclosed.

Based in Portland, Ore., Springbrook said its purchase of the South Carolina-based target means the combination “will serve nearly 2000 villages, towns, municipalities, fire districts, utilities, and cities in seven countries around the globe.” Publiq offers what were called new advanced property tax calculations to Springbrook’s Cirrus cloud platform. Pubiq’s applications handle tax billing, collections, assessments and appraisals for local governments. Its suite includes Assessor for parcel management, assessments, and appraisals, Auditor to manage and calculate real and personal taxes, Treasurer/Tax Collector to handles daily tax processing, Tax Sales Management for the entire tax sale process. Springbrook also recently acquired Magiq Software.  Cirrus, launched early last month, features modules that include budgeting and planning, finance, payroll/HR, fixed assets and utility billing.
