The company took a charge of about $12 million in the fourth quarter for the restructuring and real estate charges. The statements reaffirm an announcement made in November about Blackbaud’s moving to a remote-first strategy for workers when the company said that the changes stemming from response to the COVID-19 pandemic had proven successful. At the time, Blackbaud said about 80 percent of those hired were in remote positions and that had increased its ability to acquire and retain the best talent, along with increasing diversity in the workforce.
