Terms were not disclosed. Rob Moyer, president of Rochester, N.Y.-based ComTec noted this follows ComTec’s acquisition of the Epicor business of Compudata in May. Before these deals were done, ComTec was No. 88 on Bob Scott’s Top 100 VARs list for 2022 with $7.2 million in revenue and 49 employees. Besides selling Epicor products, it also offers cybersecurity and managed IT services. In announcing the deal, ComTec said it intends to hire 10 more employees this year and noted RAM had 30 Epicor clients coming onboard and that the RAM deal will enable it to expand throughout the Southwest. RAM was owned by Mike Green, who has operated the firm since March 1984 said in the announcement that RAM has sold Epicor for almost 20 years.
