xTuple was founded in 2001 by CEO Ned Lilly. CAI, which is a majority-owned by private equity business, Symphony Technology Group, markets manufacturing execution systems, eCommerce EDI and warehouse management software and services. Brian Rigney, CEO of CAI, cited his company’s interest in the new xT Sales CRM and what he said is “the potential to leverage the xTuple API to seamlessly connect additional solutions to help all our customers grow.” Among CAI’s products are six industry-specific ERP applications. These include processing and distribution packages for protein, seafood and wholesale markets and also for millwork manufacturing and distribution, wholesale distribution, and precious metal refining and manufacturing. In addition, CAI markets an MES application ShopVue for mid- and enterprise-sized manufacturers, and Endeavor process automation software for distributors, warehouses, manufacturers and local governments/public works. And there are EDI products for automotive supply B2B translation and supplier collaboration.
