COLUMBUS U.S REVS RESUME DROP Featured

Revenue for Denmark-based reseller Columbus in the United States headed back down for the second quarter ended June 30. The total fell 11 percent year-over year, the company said during its recent earnings report.

That was after managing 1-percent revenue growth for 2021 and 5 percent for the first quarter ended March 30, after several quarters of declines.  CEO Søren Krogh Knudsen said during the company’s recent earnings webcast that was due to a “slow down on existing projects” in this country which brought revenue now to approximately $3.5 million. This reflects the operations of a much-smaller American business following last year’s sale its SMB Dynamics operations to Enavate last year and of its To-Increase software arm. Krogh said he could not forecast an increase in revenue for the U.S. for the second half because “my focus is on the bigger picture”. Despite that drop and a 5.7-percent decline in revenue in Denmark, Columbus registered revenue of approximately $104.4 million, up 4.3 percent over last year’s corresponding period.  The company had. 2-percent drop in its dloud ERP business, but Knudsen said “affects only M-3 and mainly M-3 Sweden and that Columbus is rebuilding that operation.
