"The original plan was to use Gem Accounts as an accounting back end to simPRO Service and simPRO Enterprise but I am not sure if that is still the strategy," Del Gobbo said in response to a question about his new title. SimPro opened an office in Boulder, Colo., in October 2014 and has accountants, CPAs and bookkeepers referring SimPro to their client bases. "We are conduct training sessions and are doing very well building a beach head here in the U.S.," he says. SimPro links with Xero and QuickBooks Online and desktop applications. SimPro had owned about 30 percent of Gem Accounts, but then purchased the remaining shares during the summer. The announcement of Del Gobbo's hiring two years ago was the last press release issued by Gem Accounts. SimPro modules include CRM and sales management, quoting and estimating, service job management and project job management.
