You would have to think the decision to take on Acumatica had something to do with the recent decision by Portland, Ore-based ISM, led by CEO BJ O'Reilly, to sell its Sage 500 practice to RKL eSolutions; a matter of how much band width any VAR has for carrying different products. ISM also markets NetSuite and Sage 100 and 300 and X3. Tigard, Ore.-based Bennett Porter (there must be something in the water in Oregon) had $4.2 million in annual revenue according to its VAR Star application. That company also carries Syspro and Sage 100 and 500.

ISM, BENNETT PORTER, PICK UP ACUMATICA
It's been a good recruiting season for Acumatica. On the heels of signing SWK Technologies, the Kirkland, Wash.-based cloud vendor signed ISM. In the last week, Acumatica says it has also signed Bennett Porter, so it's fair to say that the company has picked up some quality resellers at the same time. ISM has revenue of $7.1 million and SWK, $13.2 million, as listed in their recent VAR Star submissions, which points out what a combination those companies would have made if the merger announced a year ago hadn't fallen apart.
