Founder and CEO Dan Fine has joined Encore as account executive for strategic expansions, which says something about Encore's plans. Fine Solutions, formed February 2004, was described by its founder as a boutique company. Encore reports having more than 120 employees in locations that include three additional ones in western Canada and more than 800 ERP and CRM customers in Canada and the United States. In its submission for Bob Scott's Top 100 VARs for 2016 last fall, Encore reported employing 77 people and having revenue of $14.3 million.

Encore Business Solutions of Winnipeg, Manitoba, has acquired Seattle, Wash.-based Fine Solutions. Terms were not disclosed. The deal, which involves two Dynamics resellers, gives Encore offices in Seattle, Portland, Ore., and Vancouver, B.C.
