Sage 50, the former Peachtree, is getting more updates as the company breaks with its past once-a year release. The roll out of the new product, technically Sage 50 Accounting 2014-U.S., was in April as opposed to the usual May and also seems to show the commitment of software manufacturers to names that won’t fit in headlines. Sage is moving toward quarterly updates. The company also renamed its business intelligence offering as Sage Business Reporting, which is an Excel-based.
